Biography for Susan E. Richmond

Writing gives me the opportunity to travel to places, usually in my head, and meet new people. Some of the characters are fun, some are nasty (the fun ones to write), and some are like ordinary people that we all know. It's fun to watch them come alive as I write the storylines. No matter how much I try to decide exactly what will happen in each chapter, the characters find some of way of changing it, and usually for the better.

When I'm not writing, I am busy working at a local elementary school and trying to keep up with my daughter. I am now a certified teacher for elementary students, having taken my classes through Drexel University.

One of our favorite things to do together is read. Some of my favorites are Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.


I also enjoy the outdoors, family gatherings, and peaceful, quiet times (which are few and far between as anyone with children will understand). Most of all I enjoy the time I spend with family and friends.
